Why Doesn’t It Work??
You may need to check your @{your user name} messages on the right-hand side of Twitter. If this bothers you, you can follow TweetDonate and then you’ll always get the messages delivered in to your front page.
You Signed Up But Didn’t Confirm: Now What?
If it’s been more than ten hours since you signed up and for some reason you didn’t confirm then simply sign up again. If it’s been less than ten hours just tweet “Just signed up for TweetDonate.org!“ and your account will be confirmed automatically.
How to Change Your Account Information
If your PayPal information changes or your organization name needs to be adjusted, you can simply unsubscribe and then re-subscribe. See below for details.
How to Unsubscribe
Tweet “Unsubscribe from TweetDonate” and you’ll be removed from the service. People will no longer be able to send you donations using Twitter, but you can sign up again at any time.
Why Can’t I Donate Using TweetDonate?
It’s possible that Twitter isn’t letting your tweets into the publicly searchable stream. This could be because Twitter thinks your tweet is spam. This is mostly a problem for new accounts, but could be a problem for even established accounts if you have a lot of repetitive content.
The solution is to try coming up with a few tweets that are a bit lengthy and have unique text in them and then wait a little while. Hopefully Twitter will unblock you. If this continues to be a problem, I believe there’s a way to get Twitter to manually remove you from the spam list (if you’re running contests with lots of repetitive entries they recommend this).
